SR Technics signs exclusive inlet cowl maintenance contract with SWISS and Edelweiss
SR Technics, one of the world’s leading providers of technical solutions to airlines, has signed a five-year multi-million Swiss franc contract with Helvetic Airways. The company will now service the airline’s fleet of seven Embraer 190 aircraft; the first of which the airline took delivery of on December 19, 2014. The contract assigns to SR Technics maintenance support for component services and wheels & brakes, along with line maintenance, call-out support and specialist tooling provision for Helvetic Airways’ Embraer 190 fleet.
SR Technics’ CEO André Wall commented: “We are proud that Helvetic Airways entrusted this vital safety-related work to SR Technics. The Swiss airline recognized that we provide world class Swiss quality. Helvetic also understood that what distinguishes SR Technics, and makes it the partner of choice, is that it is prepared to go the extra mile on behalf of customers to add additional value. So I am very pleased that the relationship between SR Technics and Helvetic is being strengthened.”
Helvetic Airways’ CEO Bruno Jans said: “SR Technics is well known for having the same values as Helvetic. In other words, we both stand for quality, reliability and efficiency. Furthermore we are happy to have secured a partner based in Zurich with which we can share facilities. That is of great benefit when it comes to cutting transport costs, avoiding logistic and communication difficulties and other holdups. Hence SR Technics is the right and trusted partner to support the maintenance of our new Embraer fleet. So I am really looking forward to developing this fruitful partnership.”
