SR Technics signs exclusive inlet cowl maintenance contract with SWISS and Edelweiss
SR Technics, a world leading MRO service provider, is pleased to announce that the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) has extended an airworthiness certificate for component maintenance to SR Technics Malaysia.
The certification was granted in May 2019 after an auditing process that SR Technics had passed and is valid for three years. It supplements the MRO supplier’s existing airworthiness certifications for component maintenance of over 800 part numbers by authorities like the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC).
Under the new certification, SR Technics Malaysia can repair and certify components under Thailand’s Civil Aviation Authority. This enhances the existing repair capabilities of the regional SR Technics facility, benefitting its customer base in Thailand as well as third party customers in neighboring countries that require CAAT certification. SR Technics Malaysia provides component maintenance for a range of Airbus and Boeing products (including the A320, the A330 and the B737 families).
“We are so pleased that SR Technics Malaysia has achieved CAAT certification,” said Thomas Kennedy, Vice President Component Maintenance at SR Technics. “The certificate opens up possibilities to further support our customers in Thailand and nearby countries and helps consolidate our business in the competitive Southeast Asia region.”
