In response to the pandemic, our Engine Services team in Zurich accelerated its plans and was able to begin testing a new concept to virtualize table inspection by enabling remote inspection of engines, modules and parts. It has been amazing to see how benefits of remote working also apply to hands-on activities such as the inspection of engine parts during engine repair and overhaul.
In short, “Remote Table Inspection” is a system that allows customers who cannot travel to remotely attend the traditional table inspection and still assess and understand the condition of their engine after induction in a seamless and personalized way, guided by our professionals. Within a very short time, the system was operational and was welcomed by many customers.
Remote Table Inspection of engines, modules and parts is a service where SR Technics offers you the convenience of not having to be physically present during engine maintenance by providing high-resolution video recordings of engine parts during the disassembly process on a secure streaming platform. This gives you an overview of the original condition of the engine and the expected scrap rate as well as any additional repairs that may be necessary that were not already planned, enabling joint examination and fast decision-making with our customer support engineer on the inspected components.
