The MRO industry has displayed remarkable resilience during the past two years, and when it comes to capacity availability, this is a current challenge some companies need to face. Coming out of the COVID-19 pandemic, part of the industry had to cut its capacity in order to overcome current conditions.
SR Technics signed a multi-year contract with a global technology company HCLTech to digitally transform SR Technics’ business operations. HCLTech will implement a new SAP S/4HANA environment hosted on Microsoft Azure using RISE with SAP which will allow SR Technics to transform and simplify its business operations, enabling it to modernize the application stack and optimize IT operating costs.
Climate protection is one of the strategic pillars of SR Technics. In the next tangible step, we aim to reduce CO2 emissions by 15% by 2025 from 2019 levels.
Recently SR Technics has added a new Engine Services customer to its portfolio, SereneAir from Pakistan. SR Technics inducted two of their engines at the engine shop in Zurich at the end of November. SereneAir is the second Airline that SR Technics has the opportunity to work with from Pakistan.
Recently SR Technics performed a dual engine repair for our customer MNG Airlines from Turkey. The repair of both PW4000-94 engines was conducted directly on the aircraft.
The PW4000 engine series program was launched by Pratt & Whitney in 1982 with entry into the service of PW4000-94 in the year 1987 As the engine gained operational experience, there was a steady development of the fleet on various aircraft models and the engine evolved into three available sizes: PW4000-94, PW4000-100, and PW4000-112
Following the continuous process of digitalization and process optimization, SR Technics has established a DATA Room with “single point of truth” data where current processes for every engine part are available through just one click of a mouse.
This year, SR Technics joined the global network of providers that maintain the GTF engine powering the Airbus A320 Neo aircraft family. Upon signing with Pratt & Whitney, SR Technics’ Zurich-based facility will serve PW1100G-JM engines for the A320 Neo with full disassembly, assembly, and test capabilities.
In October 2022, SR Technics signed a Licence Agreement with CFM International for LEAP-1B engines MRO support. In addition to the CFM56 engine types, SR Technics will now also be able to support customers for the new generation LEAP engine platform, starting with the LEAP-1B model.
