SR Technics joins Pratt & Whitney’s GTF MRO Network
SR Technics, a world leading MRO service provider, is pleased to announce that MNG Airlines continues to select SR Technics as their preferred PW4000 MRO provider.
Since March 2020, MNG Airlines, a fast-growing Turkish cargo operator, based at Atatürk International Airport, Istanbul, has been sending its PW4000 engines to the Zurich facility. SR Technics flexibility, quality, and one of the fastest TATs in the aviation industry have proved key for successful cooperation on five consecutive PW shop visits.
“We are very pleased that MNG Airlines has entrusted us to provide engine services for an important part of its fleet,” said Jean-Marc Lenz, Chief Executive Officer at SR Technics. “Our work for this major Turkish cargo operator has covered five shop visits so far, and we expect to have many more in the future and strengthen our presence in the competitive aviation industry. We remain committed to providing the best customer service possible to all our customers around the globe.”
Cenk Erturk, Chief of Engineering and Senior Power Plant Engineer at MNG Airlines stated his impressions about SR Technics: “It could be interpreted as a risky decision to send five engines to heavy maintenance at pandemic conditions during which the aviation industry suffered a lot. It may have seemed to increase the level of risk by making such a decision for a first-time working company too. Honestly, we were partially agreeing with such comments at the first engine’s shop visit but these concerns disappeared shortly after its start, when we experienced the timely and highly qualified responses, high level of professionalism, and broad technical expertise of SR Technics’ team which are all part of worldwide famous Swiss precision.
Based on such good impressions and feedback we had during the first shop visit, we decided to increase our business volume with SR Technics and continued to work for four more heavy maintenance shop visits. We are truly satisfied with our decision concerning not only the shop visit phase but also the on-wing performance of our engines maintained by SR Technics.”
