Your Career with a Plan
Every journey should have a plan and a destination - and that is especially true for your journey with SR Technics.
The framework for your basic vocational training is defined by federal regulations and training programs set by the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI). These are complemented by our own principles, which enhance and refine your training - a daily challenge for our training supervisors.
How does the engine work?
Jet engines are the powerplants that drive almost all modern commercial aircrafts like Airbus A320 and Boeing. Although models like the CFM56, LEAP, PW1100 (GTF) or PW4000 differ in size and technology, they all operate on the same basic principle.
The engine first pulls air in through the fan, then compresses it in the compressor to prepare it for combustion. In the combustion chamber, the compressed air mixes with fuel, and the resulting energy drives the turbine, which in turn powers the compressor and the fan. Finally, the gases exit through the exhaust nozzle, which provides the remaining thrust.
Achieving Goals Together
Our trainers aim to support you on your professional path and will personally guide you throughout your apprenticeship. They are committed to creating a positive and respectful learning and working environment and to taking time for your questions and concerns - all while maintaining focus on the quality of your work and your progress. To achieve all this, interest, openness, and a willingness to learn are essential - both on your part and on the part of your trainers.
Structured Training
An engaging introduction program marks the start of your apprenticeship and, together with a comprehensive training plan, ensures that the entire training concept is implemented effectively. Additional internal and external training sessions and excursions provide you with broader insights and a deeper understanding of the company as a whole - as well as valuable personal experiences.
In addition to hands-on experience with our shopfloor teams, we offer:
- Bi-monthly apprentice meetings focused on key topics such as learning techniques, stress management, and topics raised by the apprentice community.
- Bi-monthly apprentice lunches to encourage peer exchange, networking, and experience sharing.
- Bi-monthly one-to-one discussions with each apprentice to support individual development.
- Monthly exchange with trainers to align on progress, feedback, and relevant topics.
Successful Completion of Apprenticeship
When preparing for your qualification exams, you will receive the necessary support as needed and within our means. Before the end of your apprenticeship, we will discuss your possible next career steps together.
